I am a board certified, Mayo trained, rheumatologist. I was treated twice by Jonathan for osteoarthritis of the knee using ozone and dextrose injections. Not only were the injections nearly painless but the results have been excellent. I watched his injection technique carefully and he uses sterile techniques and he also uses a laminar flow hood to draw up the solutions, which is not something I have seen done in other medical offices and is an indicator of the high quality standards used at this office to insure the safety of the patient. The Purety Family Medical Clinic is a great place to go if you have chronic or even acute issues. Although I'm still in my 20's, years of college athletics and military time have taken a toll on my body. The front desk is always very welcoming and quick to find spaces available, and Dr. Birch is extremely knowledgeable on not just healing but attaining longevity. Since I've come in I have had PRP Prolotherapy done on my patella tendinitis, Hamstring Strains, and my 6 year long chronic Achilles Tendonosis. For the most part I have had a complete recovery. There is still some occasional slight tenderness in my Achilles, but it is leaps and bounds better after the therapy. He also has gone out of his way to provide me with alternative workouts and stretching in order to maximize my athletic performance and to hellp prevent other future issues that may arise.
The treatment I received at purity family medical clinic from Dr. Jonathan Birch has been an amazing experience. For forty- plus years I have been highly athletic and my knees payed for it. My activities included dance team, cheerleading, marathon running, USTA tennis, mountain biking and my favorite sport- skiing. I have had two ski accidents resulting in one surgery and last year my surgeon told me I was going to have to have knee replacements in both knees. Swelling, arthritis and pain were something I lived with everyday. I could barely ski or mountain bike more than an hour or two and I was unable to walk afterwards... never mind tennis, running and dance. I tried steroid treatments, was living on Advil, and going to sports massage regularly to relieve the pain I was experiencing. My sports massage therapist mentioned Dr. Birch to me, he told me he was working on someone who had stem cell treatment from him and it had been very successful. He claimed this person was very active their whole life just like me and had miraculous results. I decided to give Dr. Birch a call. I can tell you right now it was the best decision I ever made! After my first treatment I skied all day for two days and afterwards I ran downstairs to catch my dog and keep him from running out into the street. I didn't even realize it until after I had ran to get him that I just fully sprinted after skiing and was experiencing absolutely no pain! I skied most of last season and I am skiing again this season with virtually no pain and I am able to walk and run if necessary afterwards! I am completely blown away.
Dr. Birch is not only kind and super considerate he is a very gentle Doctor who talked me through each step of the way and continues to check in on me.
I am a firm believer in his work and the care I received has been superior! I will probably continue to schedule treatments perhaps yearly or ever other year, depending on how my knees are doing. I hope to never have surgery and continue to live an active lifestyle. Just a side note- One of the perks to the treatment has been losing about 12 pounds. I had no idea how much I avoided stairs and walking around due to pain. Thanks to Dr. Birch and Purety Family Medical Clinic I have my life back and it's awesome!

From the moment I called, I felt like family. I have had such a difficult time finding a doctor who didn't make me feel like just another number.

I came to Drs. Jonathan and Dena Birch after dealing with a bad injury for around four months. Although I had tried many different healing methods, none had had a significant effect. I learned that Purety Health Clinic used a method called "Prolozone" Therapy, which treats injuries and chronic pain. After a few treatments, my injury had gotten significantly better, and now, after five treatments, I am almost completely healed! Jonathan and Dena are compassionate, empathetic, knowledgeable, and skilled at problem solving. They also work very well together as a team. I felt that they were truly invested in my healing process, and knew that I was in more than capable hands. Although I came to them for a specific issue, it was clear through their approach to my problem that their areas of expertise extended into overall wellness. I have been dealing with severe arthritis in both hands for a few years now. Due to my job, I am on the computer all day long. Since going for prolotherapy infusion with Dr Jonathan Birch, there has been major improvement in both hands. Sure, there is pain here and there, but not like it use to be. Just after two treatments, the one thing I noticed that I can now do without any problems is.. don't laugh. Open up a water bottle. Before, sometimes just to turn the cap was so painful and I needed to use a paper towel for that extra grip. Now I can do it normally. And I can pull apart those ziploc packages too without strugling. To some people this would sound ridiculous, but before, for me, it was a major struggle. Doctors Jonathan and Dena Birch are fantastic. Dr Birch treated me with prolo-therapy injections in my shoulder to help the healing of a torn rotator cuff. The results were very good, the injection was painless. They are concise and thorough and very professional.
Dr. Jonathan Birch is amazing!! I have had severe jaw problems for years and have seen many prolotherapy doctors - but none as kind and helpful as Dr. Birch! I went to this clinic to discuss a supplement program that could promote energy and vitality. I knew these were naturopathic doctors, and figured they could provide great diet and supplement recommendations, and conceivably even devise a program - and educate me on the nuances and effectiveness of said program - that could help me maximize my feeling of energy and vitality throughout the day… I was RIGHT!
Off the bat, the doctors asked me all the proper questions,and pinpointed what might be some defieciencies in my eating and supplement program… They ran a blood test to affirm their suspicions, and devised a eating and supplement program to address what my body needed to operate at max capacity. After my blood results comeback, they called me to explain everything, and discuss how the program they sent me home with was going to help me maximize my health potential!
A great practice with caring, intelligent, informative, attentive, and creative doctors… This review is a month after that first appointment I had with them, and I am writing this review because I feel like they shot themselves in the foot - they treated me so well, I've been feeling GREAT - and haven't needed to go back in. It is such a pleasure to meet, work with and be treated by two delightful young professionals, both Doctors in Naturopathic Medicine who work as a team, helping patients such as us, achieve "optimum health" through non-evassive and more natural procedures, to obtain results. They are extremely well educated with a very broad knowledge of medicine, natural supplements, the body's specific needs to regenerate itself; overcoming disease that plagues us all as we age. I personally, am a cancer survivor, who lives in both worlds of Eastern and Western medicine. We prefer to pursue remedies that are more "natural" and "less evasive" to the body. We find that our results are very positive and our test results showing amazing progress towards our wellness, and seems to be a mystery to our Western Doctors and Surgeons. Both Dr. Johnathon Birch and his wife and partner, Dr. Dena Birch work as a team, addressing the whole person, rather than symptoms. They are very family oriented and take a sincere interest in our "overall lives & welfare" and the community we live in. A few months ago, I had a complete Pet Scan to reveal the extent my cancer had spread. My first visit to Purety Family Medical Clinic was a pleasant surprise and a huge relief. I had been going to a different practitioner for prolotherapy, and the treatments were very painful. The treatment at Purety was only mildly uncomfortable.
What is also surprising is that I am still experiencing significant relief 6 days after the treatment. I think this is a function of administering ozone (along with the traditional substance) , which accelerates new tissue growth. There is about an 80% reduction in the acute spasms I was having. I may need only one or two additional treatments, and I will definitely be going back to this clinic. They treat you with respect, explain everything clearly, and take special care to keep the treatment as pain-free as possible.

Doctor shopping - I left a message and continued shopping for doctors. I contacted probably 20 doctors. Difficult to find - I questioned Dr. Birch concerning our situation the cutting edge treatment. He explained he would be pleased to offer us this treatment. I was elated and over joyed and frightened I had been struggling alone for 1 year not knowing if the situation could change. I was told antipsychotic medication was destiny!

I got my first pleasant surprise when Dr. Jonathan personally answered my call and scheduled my appointment quickly. I had very badly strained Achilles' tendons and two friends recommended Prolozone injection therapy with this doctor. When I arrived at the office I was greeted by both doctors, who were interested in getting to know me and me getting to know them. The office is lovely and was set up using materials that are good for patients and the environment. I was a little skeptical of the treatment making a big difference, as I had tried other treatments that did nothing to relieve the pain or condition. About 10 days after the injections, my Achilles' were 80-90% improved. Dr. Jonathan was extremely careful, took plenty of time to explain the process and was kind and caring. I just had a second treatment and fully expect I will be 100% within a week or two. I enthusiastically recommend these doctors.

I have had a great experience with Dr. Birch and Purety family clinic. It has been my first real experience with holistic medicine, but I have appreciated Dr. Birch's approach. He suggests natural options first, but if problems persist he is willing to prescribe medication. He helped me diagnose my SIBO (never heard of the condition) and for that I will always be grateful. I would recommend him without hesitation, and my wife and I both use the clinic as our "primary care physician now'.

Never written a review before and literally started this account to leave this, just in case anyone who struggles like I did for years to get the right treatment. Basically the issue was gastrointestinal and treatments always fell short. Without divulging too much let's just say Dr. Birch is up on research and is armed with healing tools that most other doctors (traditional and holistic) are simply without.
It's no exaggeration to say that I experienced a radical improvement in my health and well-being, which directly allowed for a major rebirth in my overall life and creativity and gosh, everything. I am so grateful to Dr. Birch from the bottom of my heart. After devoting many years to trying to resolve lingering health issues I was frustrated, heartbroken and kind of desperate by the time I found this clinic. Man oh man, I'm so glad I did.
Dr. Dena has been seeing my daughter for a little over a year now. She has always been so positive, caring, informative, and supportive. My daughter is a pre-teen which can be a difficult age, but Dr. Dena speaks to her on her level, always very kind and so very positive, making my daughter feel right at home and setting her at ease. I have now been to Purity Clinic 3 times and I can't say enough how pleased I am with the quality of service I have received there. I am a big believer in Prolotherapy and its related treatments i.e. Prolozone, etc. and Dr Birch is a master. Dr. Birch is amazing and I am lucky to have found him. We have a great patient-doctor relationship where I truly trust he is there for my best interest and only wants to see me get better. I drive about 2 hours just to see him every week or two and it's absolutely worth it.

We have been to the clinic for multiple reasons and I have always been amazed and so grateful that I've come across them. The doctors have such extensive knowledge and skill and when combined with their genuine care for the patient, healing is given. I have really been moved by them and the care they've given. This is the clinic I go to when I have any concern because I know that I will receive the type of care that I desire for my family and that I have not experienced elsewhere. This is invaluable to me and I'm grateful everyday for them!

I had been struggling with Mono resulting from chronic Epstein Barr Virus for two and a half years without success and was feeling hopeless! I had seen other doctors in England and they had given me lots of homeopathic medicines and instructed me on changing my diet, but nothing seemed to work. I saw Dr. Jonathan Birch and started getting Intravenous Ozone Therapy treatments - I had 10 of them, once a week over the course of about 3 months. I think he is one of only a handful of doctors to do this treatment in the USA. I didn't feel a change immediately, but after the 6th or 7th I felt a huge difference. I got a blood test, and for the first time in 3 years my EBV was no longer active. I was able to travel for 4 months, and it still hasn't returned. The treatments are pricey, but in my opinion it was well worth the money, as it's the only thing that worked, and I now have my health back. Dr. Birch was amazing, so professional, but also easy to talk to. I always felt like he genuinely cared and would go out of his way to help me with other unrelated things such as breathing exercises during my treatments and recommended some great documentaries. I will definitely be back to see Dr. Birch again and would recommend him to anyone!

Dr Birch saved my life! I was infected with Genital Herpes last year, i had recurring outbreaks for 8 months straight, i tried every possible "cure" i could find online with no results. also met a few Dr who didn't even listen and just wanted my money and try giving me valtrax, in may i discovered ozone therapy and made an appointment with Dr Birch, he was very nice and took the time to explain every detail and made sure i understand everything. we did 10 treatments of 10 pass ozone therapy over the course of 3 weeks and i can say he is a true expert! shortly after i did Igg and Pcr Herpes tests and came negative on both of them! i was amazed with the results, since than its been 4 months and i had NO outbreaks! beside that my quality of life improved dramatically, i have more energy, i sleep less and my mind is in peace. I cannot say enough about the clinic! Both Dr Dena and Dr Jonathan have helped my family in so many ways! We have searched for years for a Dr that could help our family get and stay healthy and had come up short until we found Purity. Personally they have helped me with hormone imbalances, ADD, stressed adrenal glands and lack of energy. They didn't just treat the symptoms but helped find the underlining cause and helped create a program to move forward. Also received OZone on my broken hand with sever ligament damage. The surgeon thought I wouldn't be able to continue with my profession but with their treatment have had no problems returning to work! With my daughter, she had had a stomach ache for months that could not be diagnosed by any other conventional Dr. After meeting with Dr Dena, she was able to recommend a few tests and diagnosed her leaky gut and a casein allergy. After putting her on a treatment plan Alissa has been symptom free for 2 years now! My son struggles with ADD and dyslexia and a sensory processing disorder. Dr Dena and Jonathan started to work with him by putting him on a diet to help support his system as well as a supplement program. His transformation has been more than astonishing! He is performing above grade level and is functioning fantastic without the need of any prescription medication. He has gained self confidence as well as a good awareness of how his body reacts to different foods and how he bests functions. And he's only 10! This took me years to figure out! I live in the UK where Naturopathic Medicine is not so big as in the USA. Whilst on a recent holiday in California, a friend recommended I visit the Purety Family Medical Clinic to seek an alternative treatment for my painful shoulder. I have had ongoing issues with my shoulder for over 10 years, and have twice undergone surgery, most recently in May. Consequently I booked an appointment with Dr Jonathan whilst I was visiting SB, and he gave me Prolozone injections into the affected area which, I am pleased to say, have given me good relief from the pain I was previously experiencing. The treatment itself was only mildly uncomfortable; Dr Jonathan took time and care discussing the treatment options with me, listened to what I had to say, and made me feel relaxed and unhurried; he is clearly very knowledgeable in his field of work, and very professional. I was very impressed with the Clinic, and would like to thank both Dr Jonathan and Dr Dena for welcoming me to their Practice. I had VICIOUS lower back pain.
In fact: I had two collapsed discs between my L4 and L5 vertebrae. On top of it: I'm an avid athlete! Talk about frustrating. The problem plagued me for two years. Finally, I'd had enough. So I left my home in Cambodia. Visited Dr. Birch at his office. And after just six, simple treatments - my pain all but disappeared. It's now COMPLETELY gone. And I'm just 5 months removed from Birch's SUPERB prolotherapy protocol. I can't recommend his services highly enough. I've never been a fan of 'Big Medicine.' Birch does things the natural way.
